‘Left of centre’ can be defined as ‘different’, ‘not of the same opinion as most who just follow others’ and that sums up perfectly who will be showcased in this variety night. This event will be effervescent, colourful, (think queer care bear vibes) and overloaded with HEART. ‘A very Queer Christmas- Left of Centre’ this year on December 8, at Meraki Arts Bar, followed by two shows programmed for the Pride Amplified Festival, as part of World Pride 2023.
A Very Queer Chrismas is the brainchild of Brigitta Brown. It is a one-night show that will be a Christmas like no other with Kings, Queens, comedians and all that is in between!
Oh come, all ye queer fam, come be delighted by the quirky, chaotic and welcoming cast of Left of Centre. Local queers have stolen Christmas this year and are making sure everyone feels welcome in one night of drag, comedy, dance and carolling. Produced, performed and hosted by Brigitta Brown along with her merry queer cast of performers, this is one jolly night not to be missed. Get your tickets here!
Brigitta Brown (she/her) is an effervescent and clumsy lesbian with a deep love for naps, living in Gadigal country. She is a voice over artist, actor, drag artist and comedian who moonlights as a secondary Highschool teacher in the mental health sector. Basically, she is a grownup who never really left the teenage realm. A graduate of Theatre Nepean and Second City Toronto she has been frolicking on stages for some time. An Adelaide Fringe Festival review once stated “Brown has one of those voices you could listen to for hours”
