Lesbian comedy ‘The Punter’s Siren’ comes to Adelaide Fringe 2020!
After two sell-out seasons in Sydney ‘The Punter’s Siren’ is coming to the Adelaide Fringe, with the help of funding from Lesbians Incorporated.
This is a comedy about one woman’s unforgettable day at the races. Helen meets the alluring Linda, who makes her an outrageous offer. Should she say yes? Or walk away?
Helen’s decision takes her from the depths of despair to the dizzying heights of triumph.
The extraordinary Jacqui Robson plays all seven characters and playwright/director Gina Schien combines a cracking good story with her signature love of silliness.
But behind the humour is the theme of crippling self-doubt and how to conquer it. Helen must survive her own race to the finish so she can pursue her dream – to fly to New York and dance with Gloria Steinem.
“Speaks to all people regardless of gender or persuasion… fabulously funny.” – Broadway World.
“Riveting, exhilarating, poignant, pants-wettingly hilarious.” – Stage Whispers
