In Round Two of 2019 Bega Pride received a grant from Lesbians Incorporated to support their event DISCO INFERNO! This LGBTQIA+ dance party was held in November, 2019 and was a huge success for the community in the Bega region.  Bega Pride welcomes all members of the local LGBTQIA+ community (and friends!), with the aim to get the community together for fun and safe events. Bega Pride wants to support and celebrate queer diversity and inclusion on the far south coast.

On November 30, 2019  DISCO INFERNO! – sold out and everyone went to lots of effort with dress ups and the dance floor was pumping all night. There were also many comments acknowledging the importance of having local queer centric events (such as our dance), to support our LGBTQIA+ community.

Bega Pride is currently seeking feedback from the community re Disco Inferno and any ways we can improve our events moving forward. This may include hosting non dance based events in the future (for those who aren’t keen on shaking their groove thing).

You can find Bega Pride on Facebook to keep up with their events or to join the community.
